If you could change one important thing about your hometown, what would you change? Use reasons and specific examples to support your answer.

Answer:
My hometown is a middle-sized city in Japan. The city is located between Japan's capital, Tokyo, and the prefectural capital, Chiba. So, the traffic is always congested. Therefore, if I could improve my hometown with one thing, I would change the traffic systems without hesitation.

Due to the fact that my hometown is located in the area near to big cities, a lot of traffic goes through roads of my hometown. This heavy traffic brings big trouble to our local community. For instance, we cannot go shopping by cars easily because of the traffic jam. If the traffic vanished, the quality of our lives would really rise up.

The heavy traffic definitely brings air pollution to my hometown. The arterial road is running at the heart of our city, so the heavy traffic generates massive gas emission into the air. Needless to say, this causes various disease to local residents. Therefore, if we could change this situation, the change would dramatically improve local residents' health.

In summary, since my hometown is located in a good place to commute to major cities, a lot of cars and trucks come to our city and leave our city. This situation has been causing traffic jam and air pollution. So, if I could change one thing about my hometown, I would improve the traffic systems for sure.
